Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was a speaker, investor, and businesswoman from the United American. The Corcoran Group was a New York City real estate brokerage that she started. NRT purchased it for $66 million in 2001. Corcoran later left the company. Corcoran is among ABC's first Shark Tank investors. As of now, she has been in every 12 season of Shark Tank. By February 2020, she had completed 53 deals. One of them was a purchase of $350,000 to Coverplay at 40 percent. Corcoran was born in Edgewater, New Jersey, the second child of 10 from a working class Irish Catholic family. Florence Corcoran was Florence's mom and was a homemaker. Her father, Edwin W. Corcoran Jr., bounced between jobs throughout Corcoran's childhood. In times, her family relied on the delivery of food that was free from a friendly local grocer. Corcoran states her father was a drunk who did her mother a disservice and disrespect. Corcoran was struggling at school and later found out that she had dyslexia. Corcoran attended a local Catholic elementary school, and then began the high school system at St. Cecilia High School in Englewood. Corcoran, who had failed several courses in her freshman year, transferred to Leonia High School. There, she received a D.
