Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She served this role from 2021-2022. A member of the Democratic Party she has previously served in the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant communications director (2009–2011) and the spokesperson of the Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was a contributor to CNN's political coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki began her career in the 2001 re-election campaigns Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack, both Democrats running for U.S. Senate. Psaki then became the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki also worked as communications director for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications, serving as press secretary to Obama's reelection campaign for 2012. 20 years ago, Psaki was appointed the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. [20] Her hiring in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney when he left the White House. However, on May 30th, 2014, it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She was named Communications Director at the White House and continued to do so until the end of the year in 2015.
